Aussie agency wins in FilmFest competition
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., USA –An Australian advertising agency has captured a first place in the 2012 US International Film & Video Festival competition.
The overall competition awarded 20 First Place Gold Camera Awards, 28 Silver Screen Awards, 60 Certificates for Outstanding Creativity and four Student Awards. Twenty-three countries produced winners in this 42nd annual competition, which drew about 1,100 entries from 29 participating countries.
Winning a First Place Gold Camera Award was Stella Motion Pictures, Hampton, Victoria. The agency won for “Romeo and Juliet: A New Vision” in the Television: Documentary-Arts area of the competition. The story of the star-crossed lovers and their smoldering passion features the choreography of Graeme Murphy, the dancers of The Australian Ballet and the costumes of Akira Isogawa in a performance full of grandeur and loss. It is a new interpretation of Shakespeare’s best-known tale.
